It’s famously said that when things are done well, they appear to be easy.
In that case, these hilarious photos from around the world, collated by Domesticated Companion and showcasing extreme building fails, show just how difficult good construction is.
Among the staggeringly bad fails are a garage which is impossible to enter with any car, as its door is completely blocked by a tree.
Another snap shows a fire hydrant which is completely inaccessible, thanks to handrails built in front of it.
Here, FEMAIL rounds up some of the funniest construction fails, that will make you question what the builders were thinking.
Measurements a little off? Seems like whoever constructed this home in Russia forgot their tape measure, resulting in these less than aligned windows
You would need nerves of steel to drive your car into this garage. And some pretty impressive steering skills
Staircase to…nowhere: the really scary thing about this building fail is that if this is what the building looks like on the outside, what kind of construction fails are going on inside?
Hopefully the owner of this garage in Canada isn’t too interested in parking a car in there – as the placement of that tree would make it very difficult
People in this building in China must be really worried about fires – after all, it’s not as if the hydrant is easily accessible in case of an emergency
Is this some kind of horrible joke? This ‘accessible’ bathroom in Barcelona is anything but, requiring the user to climb stairs before getting to the door
Oh the irony…this misplaced column, in Hong Kong, is a major construction mistake, affecting a design institution building
Whoever designed the stairs on this building apparently has a major dislike of health and safety regulations – as well as a disregard for handrails
So many questions…like why is the toilet roll dispenser in a cupboard? And why is the roll on backwards?
You had one job: whoever put this strongly worded warning on the gate of this US house probably should have spent more time worrying about building a fence instead
While hurtling down this fire escape, before having to take a giant leap of faith onto the next set of stairs may be terrifying, at least it wouldn’t be boring
Looking at these badly placed drawers, you have to question what the builder was thinking – until you realise they probably weren’t thinking at all
