Wreck in Peach County causes diesel spill, all lanes blocked on I-75 S - 41NBC News | WMGT-DT

UPDATE: Georgia State Patrol has provided details concerning the cause of the crash– GSP says around 1:44 p.m., a tractor trailer was traveling on I-75 South when it traveled into the median, where it struck an embankment with 2 guardrails. The tractor trailer re-entered the road and came to an uncontrolled rest across all 3 lanes, though the fuel tanks had been damaged by the guard rails and caused a large spill.

Southbound traffic has been rerouted to Exit 142 GA 96 during cleanup.

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Georgia Department of Transportation has reported a crash on I-75 South in Peach County that’s blocked all lanes.

The social media post came in at 2:37 p.m.,  and it says the wreck is near mile post 142.

According to GDOT, there has been a diesel spill, and all lanes are blocked– the current anticipated end time is 4 p.m.
