Two taxis collided on Hiram’s Highway, Sai Kung, this morning (10/6). One of the taxis then crashed into a red minibus. One person was injured.
At 8:15 am this morning, a NT green taxi was travelling along Hiram’s Highway towards Sai Kung. When it reached the junction with Man Kung Wo Road in Hebe Haven, it rammed into an urban red taxi that was entering the main road. After the red taxi was hit, it ran out of control, hit the roadside railing, and then rammed into a green minibus bound for Mong Kok.
Police and rescue workers were called to the scene. It is reported that one person reported feeling unwell and had to be sent to the hospital for treatment. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Traffic in both directions was severely affected by the incident, with Hiram’s Highway blocked for a time and traffic backed up in both directions during the height of the morning rush hour.
