On May 25, police were dispatched to a Wiese Road address regarding property damage.
An arriving officer met a Brecksville Service Department employee, who said he was notified about recent damage to the guardrail on Wiese Road in the area of the hill that leads to Riverview Road.
The officer observed approximately 73 feet of damaged guardrail on the east side of Wiese Road. It appeared as though a large vehicle, most likely a truck, was traveling north on Wiese Road when it went off the right side of the roadway and struck the guardrail.
Viewing the tire tracks, the officer was able to determine that the vehicle had dual rear tires that had come to a complete stop and required the truck to back up after striking the guardrail.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
