ORLANDO, Fla. — A new sign in downtown Orlando on Hughey Avenue is creating confusion for some people.

The sign, which Dan Wallace recently noticed on his way to the post office in downtown, reads “Two Vehicle Per Green.”

It is on Hughey Avenue, between Colonial Drive and Amelia Street, just before the I-4 West entrance ramp at Amelia.

“Now what in the world does that mean?” Wallace asked. “I don’t know what this means and if anybody knows what this means, it’s Jerry (Hume) at Spectrum 13, so that’s when I reached out to you.”

The sign is for a new congestion management system that will help with the flow of traffic on I-4, a Florida Department of Transportation spokesman said.

It will be some time before it’s used, according to FDOT, so the department will share more about it later.

“Curiosity killed the cat, but this one, it’s a traffic sign," Wallace said. "I don’t want to get a ticket."

When FDOT releases more information, Spectrum News 13 will explain more about the new traffic management system.
