Highway 243 north of Mattawa was closed for more than four hours yesterday after a semi hit a guardrail and came to rest blocking both lanes of travel on the highway.
The Washington State Patrol said there were no injuries in the Grant County collision but the roadway had to remain closed for a fuel spill cleanup.
The semi hit the guardrail just after 5 p.m. and Highway 243 wasn’t reopened until after 9 p.m.
