Council to have final say on hay store plans near Ellesmere | Border Counties Advertizer

A FARM based outside Ellesmere has submitted plans to build a hay and straw store.

The application is for The Sycamores, in Tetchill Moor, near Ellesmere, and was submitted last week by applicants.

However, in a covering letter sent to Shropshire Council, Halls – acting for applicant D Wainwright, also stated their client is seeking whether prior approval is needed for the work.

It said: “Our client is seeking a determination on whether prior approval is required for erection of an agricultural building measure 610 sq.m to serve as a hay and straw store to support their c.160 acre farming enterprise at the Sycamores Farm.

“The building measures 13.8m x 44.2m (width c length() x 7.25m ridge height falling to 5.5m at the eaves providing 610 sq.m of floor space.

“Of steel portal frame construction, the building is finished in natural coloured Yorkshire boarding, rising from pre-cast concrete panels.

“The roof is finished with fibre cement sheets (slate grey) and comprise black uPVC rainwater goods draining to an existing drainage ditch.”
