A tradesman was rushed to hospital after reportedly falling 15 metres from workplace scaffolding on Tuesday night.

Queensland Ambulance Service has confirmed the man aged in his 20s was injured on Rich Lane in Brisbane's CBD about 8.05pm.

He is believed to have suffered multiple body fractures and also has a back injury stemming from the incident.

The man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A duty officer from Queensland Police who was patrolling nearby attended the scene within minutes. 

The Office of Industrial Relations, who oversee workplace health and safety for construction sites across Queensland, confirmed they were 'looking into' the incident when contacted by Daily Mail Australia.
