Valmont® Coatings recently announced the opening of its new facility, Pittsburgh Galvanizing, which will provide hot-dip galvanizing services to steel fabricators throughout the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, region.

As a company in the business of protecting steel, the Midland, Pennsylvania-based facility’s proximity to the “Steel City” brings galvanizing operations close to the heart of the action. Additionally, the facility is located near I-376, which provides easy access for trucks and barges (via the Ohio River) for delivery operations.  

“It is one of the most environmentally friendly facilities in Valmont,” says Henry Kramer, general manager of Pittsburgh Galvanizing, noting that the new facility upholds Valmont’s promise of “Conserving Resources. Improving Life.®”  

Pittsburgh Galvanizing is equipped with a 54' long x 8'3" wide x 10'6" deep galvanizing kettle, lifting equipment with load capacities up to 40,000 lbs., and processing capabilities for materials up to 90 feet long.
